Horizon Platforms are proud to announce the receipt of three new Genie GS-4047 electric scissors.
The GS-4047 is the first electric Genie Scissor of this type, reaching 40ft (12mtrs) platform height (46ft, 14mtrs working height) on a 4ft wide base (1.2mtr) . The latest offering from Genie also incorporates their new upper control box allowing faster, simpler and more accurate operation.

On Tuesday 25th September, it was time for Luke Jones and Vicki Crowe to iron their Horizon shirts and head over to Pontefract Racecourse. However there was no betting or gambling involved today, in fact they were attending a Health and Safety Awareness Event organised by the Health and Safety Executive and Working Well Together team.

On the 15th September 2012 at 7am the Horizon Team set off on the 25 mile challenge covering three of the highest peaks Yorkshire has to offer. Shockingly the weather stayed relatively clear for us and we managed to catch some spectacular views across the Yorkshire countryside.

It is with great pleasure that we announce yet another internal promotion here at Horizon. Tom Brook joined the company in August 2011 as an Apprentice – Hire Desk Coordinator (HDC). Displaying a high level of commitment and hard work, Tom has had a fantastic first year. He quickly picked up the skills required to become an effective HDC and at the same time pursuing an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Customer Services, which he will successfully complete in a few weeks time.

It’s back on!
No backing out this time! Come rain or shine, our 18 guys will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks. After having to cancel the last attempt due to terrible weather conditions back in July, the Horizon team are itching to get started.
