Winter is another busy period for us at Horizon Platforms. Despite the most obvious being the putting up of Christmas decorations, it is also the time of year when our customers need machines (often on a short term hire) to repair or maintain their premises whilst other work is quieter.
Horizon Platforms have strengthened their hire fleet yet again with the addition of 2 brand new Niftylifts. These 2 beauties were delivered last week and are now ready to be delivered to you for your hire contracts.
Every machine has different restrictions and limitations when it comes to wind speed.
With weather conditions hitting hurricane levels in parts of the UK this week, the last place you should be in these particular conditions, is in a cherry picker or scissor lift meters from the ground. Outdoor machines are all rated to specific wind speeds which are stated in the operators manual and usually on a decal close to the control box. Sometimes access platforms have varying restrictions dependent on the number of persons and quantity of tools in the basket, as well as when working indoors.
It is with great regret that our Land Rover is For Sale! Our very much loved Land Rover has become an unnecessary addition to the fleet, after the arrival of our brand new truck this month.
Ordinarily there isn’t much to look forward to at this time of year. We’re at the end of the holiday season, much colder weather is upon us, and the expense of Christmas is just 85 days around the corner.
But at Horizon we certainly have something to look forward to! Our brand new truck has arrived and is all set to make its very first delivery tomorrow. Our drivers have been falling over themselves to be the driver of this brand new truck, but only one driver can drive it! Mick McGarry, driver at Wakefield will run the truck on routes in and around Yorkshire.
