We are delighted to announce that one of Horizon’s Training Instructors, Michael Backhouse, has successfully passed the rigorous selection process to become a Senior IPAF Instructor.
Mick became a Trainer in January 2004 after initially starting his career in the Powered Access Industry as a Driver/Demonstrator. He joined Horizon Platforms in 2011 and has been pivotal to the success of Horizon’s delivery of high quality IPAF training.
We are delighted to announce the arrival of Kevin Appleton as our non executive Chairman.
Kevin who was , Chief Executive of Lavendon Group from 2002 until 2011 and is also on the board of the Finnish based rental company Ramirent, joins the existing Directors Ben Hirst, Rory Duggan and Lindsay Tarrant.
We are very excited to announce that on the 28th June 2014, the Horizon Platforms Team will be taking part in a very special event in order to raise money for our nominated charity – The Christie Charity.
I’m sure some of you will have been touched by The Christie Hospital at some point in your life, as have some of our own staff and customers. That is why we have chosen to support this fantastic cause that provides specialist cancer care and support to thousands of people across the North West and beyond.

We have chosen the theme “Hollywood”. There is a Hollywood Blockbuster for each month which everyone, whether male or female, adult or child can relate to. However, I don’t want to reveal too much, so why don’t you see for yourselves!
